The Hovis brand bread has recently realized that their products are elastic, by finding out a reduce in their sales. This is because of a huge mistake they conducted: the upsurge of prices. Without any doubt, consumers replaced their source for bread with substitutes that can offer the same quality with a cheaper price instead of Hovis bread. A possible solution is to take a risk; lower their prices back to what they were before, before the situation worsens anymore. Since this is the time of the recession, where all consumers demand for cheaper goods, Hovis will need to respond to these demands by alleviating the burden of consumers.
